WESTAR Planning Committee

Committees within WESTAR address key policy and technical issues important to the member states. The Planning Committee is charged with identifying and, if appropriate, addressing issues related to policy and planning, through sharing of information amongst states; tracking the activities of other national and regional air quality management organizations; identifying the need for, and where appropriate, recommending and advocating for policy change; and developing guidance documents and compiling and sharing information.

Planning Committee members met in Seattle, WA to discuss issues such as PM_2.5 planning, Ozone attainment in urban areas, and Environmental Justice among other topics. There were also two half-day trainings on the IMPROVE monitoring program and SIPs. All presentations can be accessed below.
