WESTAR Technical Committee
Committees within WESTAR address key technical and policy issues important to the member states. There are currently two WESTAR operating committees: Technical and Planning. Each of the committees is charged with identifying and, if appropriate, addressing issues related to their assigned areas of responsibility, through sharing of information amongst states; tracking the activities of other national and regional air quality management organizations; identifying the need for, and where appropriate, recommending and advocating for policy change; and developing guidance documents and compiling and sharing information. The Technical Committee addresses issues and shares information around modeling, emissions inventory, and monitoring.
